Hoker Records’ DVD release of the Polly Shang-kwan wuxia actioner A GIRL FIGHTER (1972) is a licensed release from Taiwan that comes with poorly written, and no doubt poorly translated English subtitles.
Video quality is merely average. The source print has not been digitally re-mastered but has been kept in good condition with only minor pops and scratches. It does appear, however, that a few frames are missing which would account for some odd cuts here and there. Video mode is progressive scan yet the widescreen format is not anamorphic.
The original Mandarin is preserved in its mono format.
There are no extras.
Packaging is decent with the original poster art featured on the cover yet unattractive menus on the disc. Most text, including menus, are in Chinese.
