@ simian33/ I've always thought that hong kong phooey was black. Maybe becuase of the skin color and voice. I think he was just created from that kung-fu fighting song. He doesn't have slant eyes or buck teeth, nor big lips and a fro. I don't think he was created from a specific stereotype.

i m chinese and i dont know if anyone feels the same but i find hong kong phooey quite racist, never noticed it when i was younger but looking back at it i feel quite offended.
