This release of BAMBOO HOUSE OF DOLLS from Hong Kong distributor Intercontinental Video Limited is typical of the hundreds of restored Shaw Brothers titles put out by the company. Picture looks great and is in the 16:9 format. Original mono Mandarin and Cantonese audio tracks have unfortunately been remixed in 5.1 surround sound.

Sure, it’s referenced in the third person but it’s called a “seminal book.” He then follows with an uncredited quote from someone else’s web site. Classy. That’s Ric Meyers for you, the most shamelessly unapologetic self promoter in the martial arts movie world.
