Bruce Lee documentary coming to HK museum

9240-011 A new documentary from The Federation of Hong Kong Filmmakers on the life of Bruce Lee is currently in production. Once completed, the film will be screened exclusively at the late martial arts star’s former Hong Kong residence which is currently being renovated into a museum.

The film will contain interviews with Lee’s surviving family, childhood friends and professional associates who worked with him.

Lee’s Hong Kong residence, located in the Kowloon Tong area, had been turned into hotel until it was donated to the Hong Kong government by philanthropist Yu Pang-lin earlier this year.

Despite Hong Kong being Lee’s residence for a significant portion of his life, the government has never had a memorial or museum constructed in honor of their most famous resident until 2005 when a $100,000 bronze statue of Lee was donated for public display by the Bruce Lee Club.
