Cung Le. Keep up with the good work you had done. I'm the MMA fan, I will respect what you choosen to do but balance out wisely, I do not want to see you gass out doing the fight like the last one. Love to see you learning the Fedor skills into your style, your punch needs to be rapid & flurry & use your jiu jitsu techniques to choke your opponent out (you had the open for choke out on couple of your opponent doing the fight. Use it !!!!!!!!!!!!! Bro……..

To be honest, Tung Wei is the kind of action director I would like to see more of. I understand WHY he was picked for the film. As for Cung Le comments, he only been doing films for a little bit, and Tung Wei style is very straight-forward combat and less flashy shit. Somehow I doubt Cung could ever reach Tung Wei standard, BUT, I can't wait to see him in True Legend.

Actually, I have met Cung Le before. Spend a day doing a shoot with him and he's one of the nicest guy in MMA.

isn't done fighting professionally? i didn't check the original article so i don't know how recent it is, but he relinquished his strikeforce belt and it's up for grabs this november. so does he plan to make another run at the title or what? i loved cung as a fighter, but if you don't train full time for mma these days, good luck on your chances of performing well

yeah, hes definately taking less of a risk than Rampage Jackson. and im impressed by the fact that hes doing real Asian movies. he seems like hes made for Hollywood. i just dont want him to slack of on his fighting and think he can just jump back in the ring and woop people like he never left. like you said hes been very smart about this so i doubt that will happen. as long as he remembers what happened to Antonio Tarver after he did Rocky he should be ok.

I don't blame any of these MMA fighters for moving to filmmaking when they get the chance. It's more pay for less pain. Cung Le has an advantage over many of his peers. Because he is Asian and seems to have a competent manager, he's getting parts in very prominent Chinese action films like BODYGUARDS AND ASSASSINS. It may not translate into quality lead roles in Asia or Hollywood but only time will tell.
