I think I can speak for everyone in saying thanks to Mark for hosting the new forum. I just wanted to thank everyone for their support of KFF for these last few years. I hope I speak for all the MODs saying that we had some hard at times, but the good times have far outweighed the bad. I hope everyone has enjoyed the time we had in the old forum and look forward to new ones in the future. This "new look" for KFF is just a first step in what I think will be an interesting and exciting time over the next year or so for everyone on this the board. Look for some exclusive news and info about new kung fu releases and the like over the next few months.

I'm pleased to be officially associated with Kung Fu Fandom once again. It's the best place on the web for kung fu movie discussion and it's going to get even better with the collective involvement of everyone here.

The next few weeks will involve getting the forums settled. This will involve defining new forum rules, clean up, minor layout tweaks, and additional features.

Once the old posts are added, we'll need to go in and do some consolidating and pruning. Some new forums may be added that are more specific to KFC, the site. I am looking at ways to integrate portions of the forums with the main site so look for that. Also, we're going to add a full-featured image gallery for users to post all those cool lobby card scans and other pics related to martial arts cinema.

Lots of good stuff on the way. If anyone has further suggestions, don't hesitate to comment in the General forums or contact a mod.

Well I'm glad to be here to see this from the beginning as I came onto the KFF scene about a year(?) after that forum started. Looking forward to all the good things to come.

This sounds like an excellent addition to the forum. It will certainly better than those little red X's that appear after an image is deleted.

Speaking of KFF.... it would be good if someone could do a little summary of the who/what/where/when/etc. (for posterity sake). If this place continues to grow, as I suspect, it will be good if someone had chronicled its origins and highlights before it becomes lost in cyberdust.

There are some nice ones. I was lazy and just looked for a copy of the cover of Heroes of the East. Since we can upload a file from our PC, rather than only have the option of linking something from the internet, I might be more ambitious and make one out of a screenshot from one of my DVDs! I thought Kurata's 'madman look' in the Sonny Chiba The Executioner was pretty cool. I might use that.
