Hey, Nivlak, good to see you here at the forum! :)
I'm TigerCraneFist at TF.N, so you might know who I am.
Oh, and needless to say - I love your film, it's one of my favourite fan films, and has some of the best choreography in any amateur MA-film ever (no I'm not kissing ass here - I mean it!).

biomorph - I think Nivlak is the villain.
They are brothers. On theforce.net's forums they are known as "The Ho Brothers".

Hey biomorph,
Thanks for the nice words. I am the villian in the movie. I trained in northern style kung fu and wushu however ive been retired for about 6 years now from martial arts. When we made the movie 2 years ago, I nearly killed myself as I was so out of shape. My brother in the movie has no martial arts experience but follows directions pretty well :)
I would love to one day choreograph a short fight with 2 or 3 experienced martial artists so try some fancier and more elaborate moves. We'll see.
Thanks again!!!

Very well done Ho Brothers that is amazing that he has no experience and he looked very well on screen. And to that end nice cinematography even more so on the scene when you both are in the wide shot in your fighting stances. The only minor thing I saw that wasn't much of a problem was that the costumes weren't really fitting the mood of the scene. Maybe if you used jedi like outfit maybe had them torn from battle and making the hero of the film look like he has been through battle that would have added the iceing to the cake. All in all it is the best fight scene I have scene with a star wars theme even though the only thing that was related to it was the lightsabers. Good job.

pretty awesome dude
i read an article on how to do the light saber effects and from what i understand, its tedious frame by frame work. is that true?

very tedious. you have to paint the glows on each frame and there are 30 frames per second so you can imagine how long it takes. But im glad you liked it. :)

I'm an art student and I have an assignment to make a short movie, we can film anything we want since it's our first experience with a camera. I know some Jeet Kune Do and my idea for the film is to play with light and shadow while doing some shadowboxing.
I have to say that your movie has been a great inspiration and a joy to watch.
If you can give some tips to a beginner on choreography, that would be thankful.
