I just got this having been told that it was the ORIGINAL version that sneaked out on HKL's magazine series (No. 8). It's nothing of the sort, however it's probably the closest we're going to get to it. It's actually the 25th Aniv.edition that has been curiously edited down to (nearly) the original length. There is no Roy Chiao scene or extended mirrors scene (actually there is one bit there about 2 seconds). So all the missing/added music cues remain too, oh and the nunchuck scene is edited down.
Well, I still wait with baited breath for the original version!

I have the Warner Video VHS. I wonder if that's the original theatrical version?

i have the old pre-cert uk vhs which is uncut but horrible p&s  best version of the original theatrical release would probably be a rip of the old usa laserdisc.

I have the 20th aniversary edition VHS that I transferred to dvdr. It's widescreen, all the music cues are right, mono sound....nunchucks cut:(

It's a shame the theatrical cut of EtD has never seen the light of day on DVD.

Whilst it was great to finally see the missing scenes, the original version is a much leaner film.

Incidentally, I received the Mandarin Version of EtD in the post today - has anyone seen this?

The initial Lee/Braithwaite scene is gone, replaced with a lingering shot of Braithwaite (whihc I'm sure is not in the US version), and then it's into the credits, then straight into the Lee/Braithwaite briefing scene.

Aside from that, it's business as usual, with the only difference being much more extensive end credits than the US version (including "Faces provided by the Alliance Escort Agent, HK" - I'm guessing this is in regard to the prostitutes who were extras on the movie? Surely a first in film history!)

Some great line changes, too - "Man, you come right of a comic book" is now, "So, that's your game"!

Anyone wanting a copy of this, please PM me.

Sorry Karlos... I was being sarcastic again... I've put an emotion behind the words so people can know I was fooling around. Don't get angry.

P.S. ...
People give me crap all the time re:my love for Bruce Lee. I simply ignore them though. So I've become quite the cynic at times, however, never malicious or with intent to hurt someone.

I wonder why Tower of Death (GOD 2) wasn't titled Enter the Dragon 2? Seeing as it used Enter footage and was similar in plot: Underground Drug Lab, Lee's Shaolin Master, Cine-Screen Briefing. Maybe Warners or Fred Weintraub stopped them?

i think the continuation of chracter kept the project living on..Billy Lo getting diced etc..
If the character plot was a bit different gthen yeah it would work as a good vehicle for ETD sequel..
I remember as a youngster at the video shop, i thought it was related to ETD as the cover had a big still shot of Bruce from ETD.
