I watched it yesterday and IMO I can really say that Exiled will be the best action movie of the year. It is superior to The Mission so if you guys liked it don't miss this movie whenever you have the chance to see it. The action is terrific and there is plenty of it (quite bloody), the relation between the 5 main characters are hilarious just like in The Mission and the script, score and cinematography are all top notch.
I can't find more words to describe what an amazing movie Exiled is. Don't you miss this movie guys!!!

I didn't look at it as an action film. To me it was a film that had action sequences. It was mesmerizing. Visually and the score. Beautiful to look at. Music has always been an important part of the Milkyway films, going back to The Odd One Dies. As I was watching this I was thinking, man this guy is a "filmmaker".

While I understand people's comparison to The Mission, in all honesty, I never felt the similarities come through as I was watching it. It felt original to itself.

Absolutely. To's experties in, not only music, but also cinematography, acting, tone and so on, tells you one or more things about how filmmaking can be fascinating to look at.

I agree, this film mesmerizing to watch thanks to how skillfully everything is done. I absolutely loved it and can't even imagine the horror that will eventually become the American remake >:

To has an interesting use of not using. Here, as well as in PTU, he uses only minimal people. No unnecessary extras in the background. No dogs, no paper, no other movement besides those few people that have to do with the movie itself. In the begining there are the four men and the woman. Then the 2 policemen. Then the old friend. He keeps lean and focused.

The lighting in this was also ridiculous. The shootout in he apartment in the beginning. The shootout at the doctors apartment, the restuarant scene and the ending shootout were visual feasts.

yeah, Exiled is one of To's absolute best! I saw it at the Toronto Film Festival and loved it! honestly, HK cinema from the present day doesn't get much better than this!
