How is the show? I really haven't even watched it yet, but I've read a lot of good things about it.

In a word ... outstanding.

Its not your typical "sci-fi" show but a drama series set in space. Engaging characters. Tight scriptwriting. Superior special effects. I was a fan of the original series as a kid and, at first, opposed this new series. I figured it was your typical Hollywood "we're-out-of-ideas-so-lets-rehash-another-TV-series-from-the-past" show and it would quickly be canceled.

Glad to say they proved me wrong.

thanks teak, i watched it and thought it was pretty good. If you wouldn't have recommended it i would have missed out. Again, thanks!

Glad you enjoyed it, ...paw! The opener was an excellent parallel to the recent events in Iraq. It was a bold move by the writers for making these comparisons but then -- that's what makes this show so damn good.
