The Hills Have Eyes

This is one my absolute all time fav old school Horror flicks. Early Wes Craven masterpiece. When I went to see Wolf Creek last weekend I saw a trailer for a upcoming remake (:rolleyes ) of The Hills Have Eyes. It actually looked promising, no pop culture icons anywhere in sight. And I got even more excited when I learned its being directed by the same guy who directed Haute Tension (High Tension). So it might actually maintain it dark & gritty feel. At least theats the impression I got from the trailer.

I've been disappointed by the horror remakes of late, in a way, whats the point, but then you have to take in consideration movies like "The Thing".

The original Hills have eyes was a great movie for it's day, it's great Michael Berryman is getting some work, he all but disappeared after Wierd Science.
