*drools...heavily*
Take this for what it's worth, but one site reports that this gizmo will include "around 200 titles not released on DVDs and TV."
I think one of these films is Poison or Poisonous Rose. Did that come out on DVD? Black Forest is another.
The previously unreleased Curse Of Evil will be in this box!

I'm confused. Is this like a giant hard drive loaded with a bunch of SB titles with a media player function? If so, even if this is in standard def, this would need to hold at least 3TB. If this is HD, like they say it is, this would need to hold at least 10 to 12TB. The box looks to small to contain 5 or 6 hard drives.

My friend in Spore says he may get it for those unreleased movies and he will try to find a way to burn some movies on DVD for me.
Since it's from Singapore, I'm guessing these will have english subs...

Is there a full list of the movies? And I wonder if they are all remastered. I'd love to see Revenge of the Corpse remastered.

list is here, but not in any order:

It says that it is 720p with hdmi out. I'm guessing its a SD upconvert - like many dvd players with hdmi out.

Thanks. I saw Revenge of the Corpse on there. Would be awesome if it is remastered.
Also looked for Tiger Boy but didn't see it.

This would certainly be the way to go (if you don't own a bunch already like many do).
I might buy the book. Would be a nice reference guide.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was the source of the SB films leaked through Youku.

Interesting... but for those with rich blood only.

This is tempting but I dont think I'll buy it in the near future. I'm sort of old skool, I like to have my dvd in a case with artwork, showcase each movie's individuality.
This is a good deal still, not even a USD per movie.

I would seriously consider getting this, but it looks like they only ship to Singapore addresses. They won't even ship to Hong Kong or Japan.

12-16-2010, 06:08 AM
Yeah, this is pretty neat. But like someone said above, there's nothing like having HARD COPIES of the movies.
But still... very tempting.
By the way, here's a little more info about it:
http://sg.store.creative.com/products/product.aspx?catid=952&pid=20238
If it was a little cheaper, I'd consider getting it. I tried ordering the book, but the website is all janky and not suited for overseas customers. :(

Order is out now, problem of getting the reminder of the library (like The Killer, Temperament of Life, Black Enforcer, To Kill a Mastermind or Mission Impossible) is finally solved.
PS: If you want hard covers of this or that film, then you can always record from your TV and burn your own DVDR at will.
PPS: You can watch a indepth promo video of the box here:

This is a great idea, but I'm a bit worried about the "censorship process" mentioned in the promo video.

There's no denying it's an incredible product.
Shame the company doesn't ship out of Singapore.
Would like to get the book, too.
Maybe they'll both turn up on eBay.
EDIT: "Censorship process?" - ah, forget it!!
Gaijin84

If I had to bet, I'd say there is no way this remains a product that will only be sold in Singapore. There are too many people that would be interested in getting it that live outside that country. They probably signed a deal that gave them a limited time exclusivity, but within a month or so it will become available in Hong Kong/Malaysia, etc. That's just too good a package to limit the money they can make from it to one specific area. There's always eBay Singapore too! :nerd:

I noticed an ethernet port in the back of this thing. Coupled with its small size, I think this could be a way to view this SB library as streaming video when connected to the internet, kinda like netflix. If this is the case, we could possibly see a monthly access fee rather than a the bulk sum up front by the time it gets to our area.
Thanks for posting a full list of the films! The company emailed me with only 100 titles, none of them anything shocking, except for Curse Of Evil.
I have some friends in Sing, so I could order this, but these movies will be made available soon. It's just a matter of time. TKAM subbed! No Shadow Girl, though...
Curious - how many Shaw's were put out by IVL?

Hmmm it does say that the movies are pre-loaded in that video.
BTW, I noticed the subtitles look more like VCD subtitles, and not the black outlined ones. (unless that video is displaying it wrong).
I'm surprised there isn't more excitement! TKAM, finally remastered. Thunderclap, remastered with subs! Many other rares. This is EPIC news!

I'm excited! But who's gonna buy it and share?
I'm excited! But who's gonna buy it and share?
There's going to be a definte trickle down & I imagine it will happen fast. There are lots of Shaw fans in Singapore, and we have forum members there, too. They might circulate these films, but I think they will be made available soon via other means - pay per view on line, like that zumba, or whatever it was called. It's incredible to think that these films exist subbed & remastered when Celestial was telling companies that these movies hadn't yet been worked on at all. From the list, can you spot other unreleased films? One medai source was saying that 200 previously unreleased films would be in this box.

Here is the list of films in a-z order as it is listed on this page. (http://www.ziieagle.com/products/?product=20238&nav=4) The list has 669 films but I think Amorous Lotus Pan is the only duplicate on the list at numbers 364 and 444 which would bring the total to 668 as stated by Creative.
From this page (http://www.hkcinema.co.uk/upcoming.html) plus a few more recent dvds found at dddhouse I have a spreadsheet with 585 IVL titles. So about 84 new titles but I don't think many of the new ones are martial arts.

This is pretty amazing. And for the Shaw superfan this is pretty much the ultimate way to get as many Shaws as you'll probably ever want.
It'd be wierd to have a set top box with my entertainment system that everyone will ask about and i'll tell them, "it's a kung fu movie box!"
How many of these will be action or kung fu films? I don't really care about the sappy romance films.

720p mentioned here (http://www.ziieagle.com/products/?product=20238&nav=2). Considering its size and weight, it is large enough to contain one standard internal hard drive. However, I doubt that they will use a standard size hd.

If you had to guess, what size HDD do you think they'd need for all these films? 668 seems like a lot.

According to this page, (http://www.shaw-brothers-reloaded.com/html/the_long_wait_is_over_as_celes.html) most of the new titles were announced back in June 2009.
This thread (http://www.shaw-brothers-reloaded.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2096)has stills from many of the new titles.

At DVD5 size (~4.7GB each at max) they would need a hard drive larger than 3TB. I don't think the movies included are 720p, the box simply has the ability to produce images with that resolution. I think they are probably standard DVD quality (480p?), maybe a little less. Maybe two 2TB hard drives? Looks like it could fit that.

Yes, if they stripped it down to just the movie only, maybe 2 TB HDD's would be big enough. Shame no one outside of Singapore can order one, otherwise maybe we could club together, do a fund-raiser like for Massacre Survivor. Afterall, that was for just one movie, this is a fraction of the cost for 668, including many not available.

I'm convinced this will be made available in other countries eventually. There is no way they'd pass up the market in Hong Kong, Japan and Australia. They need to make it as profitable as possible.
I almost want to buy this & throw it on the credit card, but I'm sure all of these movies will show up in alternate formats in the coming months.

I know what you mean:tongue: It's kind of a "dare I, daren't I?" situation. I think the best thing to do for now is what's already been done by posting this thread - raise awareness that these movies exist and that we're not gonna believe any more of Celestial's double-talk. The more people that know about them, the greater the chance of someone picking them up and making them available, either by legit release or even if someone buys this box and trades/sells them.

If that power adapter isn't multi voltage I'd be pretty surprised. But if it's not multi-voltage, just get a US-friendly adapter with matching specs locally...
...because in this case patience is no virtue; this thing will never, ever be released in the US. The distribution rights to these films are scattered to the four winds in this country. By the time you reached an agreement that all parties found acceptable, the price would be outrageously expensive. Besides that, the Weinsteins would simply cockblock the whole deal because the Weinsteins are notorious douchebags. Does anyone in the US really want this without the Dragon Dynasty-conrolled Shaw titles?
Press release here (http://www.celestialpictures.com/level2_newsroom.asp?id=206&issue_year=2010&issue_month=&page=1), pretty much stating that this is a Singapore-only thing. It does make me wonder why this box only contains 668 of the claimed 760 films. If you're going to go this big, what's 92 more films? I think 760 films would still fit onto a 2 TB drive in very good DVD quality using well-tuned H.264 video compression, with plenty of room for the OS (presumably this thing's running a Linux-based system) and the custom Shaw-centric media center software. 2TB may even be excessive - considering what Celestial considers to be DVD quality, 1TB would probably be adequate.
Does it serve as an all-purpose media center in addition to being a gateway into (most of) the Celestial/Shaw library? There is an Ethernet port, after all, there's technically no reason it couldn't serve up media from networked sources on your LAN or from the Internet.
An aside tossed into that press release that's arguably more interesting than the actual subject of the press release - in 2011 Celestial is apparently remastering some more Shaw titles in HD.

This device is definitely not going to be released in the US, but I find it very hard to believe its going to be exclusive to Singapore for the duration of its existence. The press release mentions that "Under the agreement, Creative has licensed the non-exclusive digital download rights as well as internet download-to-own rights to release an extensive range of films..." I take this to mean that although it is in Singapore only now, in the future it will expand to other areas and other devices will have the capability. Also makes it sound like there is extra space on the box to allow future releases to be downloaded. Sounds like a device they intend to be providing content for for a while to come. Fingers crossed!

But then... we'd never really OWN the films. With the device, we at least have them stored in a hard drive.
But when it comes down to it: Nothing like owning the DVD or Blu-rays. That's why they'll never become obsolete (in my opinion). Every collector wants an actual, tangible product.
Imagine having your favorite book in digital-form only. It's not the same.
Digital only works with music. But then again, why buy the Beatles catalogue from iTunes, when you can have the nice physical collection in their liner notes, etc.

I'd love to have this but I have 100 movies sitting on the shelf I haven't been able to get to yet including an expensive copy of Massacre Suvivor:xd:

I don't know about the complete catalogue. I'd imagine Roadshow own the rights to the DD releases. Celestial may hold them though, AFAIK we can get the Celestial channel down here.

Some main things i think should be addressed or are of concern to me are
1. What is the insurance on this product? as we all know, it seems all Hard Drives go bad. That be quite a devastating thing to happen to this harddrive. be nice to have the ability to at least back it up
2. The word censor should scare us all a bit. Even if they were all cut for blood and nudity, it would ruin the whole product. We all seem to be purists on this board and dont think anyone of us would settle for this
3. Would they all suffer from the PAL ntsc issue?
...ah i already forgot the others :-) but something isnt sitting right with all this. At best it would be an amazing living room piece and we would never have to order another Shaw again. at worst they would be censored and VCD quality versions of all the shaws

if the Box is from / for Singapor the Movies could all be censored for Nudity. i had a few VCDs of Celestial Movies and they were all cut for even minor nudity (Anonymous Heroes and Magic Blade for example).

I highly doubt these will be censored for nudity. There are just too many sexploitation movies included. Movies like Bamboo House of Dolls and Sexy Girls of Denmark would be pretty awful, and not to mention short, films if they were censored.

It's too bad they don't have a budget version of this, like 5 films on a USB memory stick, so we can evaluate the quality of the transfer! ;)
I would also be concerned about what kind of warranty is on this. If they've made it piracy proof, that means you are not able to back them up on another hard drive, right? Imagine the damn thing dies on you two months later, and you've only watched 10 films. Will they exchange your dead one for a new one, or are you stuck with an expensive paper weight?

This would be well worth buying depending on the quality. I could easily see each film looking a blocky up-scaled mess. Nevertheless it's impossible to get without knowing someone trustworthy from Singapore, so boo.
Hopefully it isn't as piracy proof as they claim and we see some quality rips online at some point.

Those have been on youku for awhile, this box was first offered in mid December. Unless there was an earlier similar device released elsewhere? I figured those youku uploads were from a Shaw specialty channel.
Reading the specs on the box, it sounds like it just have an HDMI out. Are there devices out there that accept HDMI in besides TVs? I'm thinking receivers by Denon, Yamaha, etc..., which are way out of my budget, could be used for converting?

With regards to your enquiry, you can use the product in any country. It does not require any Internet connection. The movies are pre-loaded and you just need to connect it to a TV that support HDMI connection.

I bought the box in SGP during a stop-over on our Xmas vacation and I am surprised about the quality of the movies (i.e. it's better than some of the DVDs). Even though most of them are not remastered in HD and the anamorphic issue is somewhat tricky, the picture quality on the widescreen TV is crisp and up-to-date, the subs can be added or removed and the hard cover booklet is a splendid add-on.
As for region codes and connections: Indeed you don't need anything but a HDMI cable to connect the box to the TV and/or PC-Screen.
On the sad downside, the box (and the booklet) misses five SB movie titles which are featured in the official Celestial catalogue (titles which I know have been fully restored and which are available for international distribution deals). Instead the box offers a total of 12 movies which are not produced by the Shaw Brothers (but independent production companies) and which clearly don't belong there.
This issue (the PR-ad "Complete Celestial Shaw Library" is not true and in terms of customer relations a dumb shot in the leg) has to be sorted out and currently I am in the midst of interaction with CREATIVE and the ZiiEagle customer care. I will keep you posted about the outcome as I and other customers have issued strong queries concerning the download and add-ons of the missing titles (either by upload or fitting external device).
@shaolin swords: In terms of copying/ripping a movie to DVDr I have not found a method yet but I will check for a possibility and let you know.

BTW, are really all the movies subbed? And what about the letterboxed stuff that IVL churned out in the early days, are these flicks re-formated now?? Oh, and have the extras that IVL had in the first years (interviews, a few audio commentaries, etc) been retained? Questions, questions...

@Sheng: Yes, all of them have removable English subtitles and it seems to me that the quality of movies from the first and second DVD season batches (Dec. 2002 until sometime in 2044) is visually much better (although I am no technician or expert and cannot point my finger at certain specification changes). They simply play brilliantly (and better) on a 16:9 TV screen. But - again - on the downside: There are NO extras, interviews, galleries or such as each movie is played by entering a four digit number (which you can access via handset either on screen or referring to the booklet) only! However, in the box there are several short films about the restoration, the different genres and about the companies Celestial Pictures and Creative Technologies.
@Tantao: I feel with you, pal. But sadly, aside of the five missing titles (OPERATION LIPSTICK 1966, THE BRAIN STEALERS 1968, THE KILLER 1971, THE VILLAINS 1973 and KILLERS ON WHEELS 1976) there are NO Celestial Shaw Library titles missing at all.
Explanation: All the titles mentioned by you (and there are even some more which are missing on your list) are simply NOT AVAILABLE by Celestial Pictures due to various reasons:
The first reason is "difficult ownership" (which applies i.e. to co-productions!):
According to Celestial Pictures (and despite them having bought the entire catalogue of Shaw production and sales titles) movies like THE CHAMPION, THE CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS, THE SHADOW GIRL, THE GOURD FAIRY, THE BANDITS, IMPERIAL TOMB RAIDERS, THE BOXERS or THE BATTLE FOR THE REPUBLIC OF CHINA (here, in the last moment, Celestial had to refrain from an Asian DVD release despite it being announced in their own DVD booklets) CANNOT BE RELEASED at all!!! This is a result of Taiwanese (and Malay) co-ownerships which would cost a lot of time, money and massive legal procedures to sort out. Celestial is simply not willing to do anything in this regard and hence those titles will forever be lost for home entertainment distribution!
(Example: If the ZiiEagle Box goes Japan, then movies like ASIA-POL (and some others) will also be scrapped as in Japan, Celestial is legally forced to exclude the rights for this and some other films in the respective territory)
The second reason is the material for restoration and digital enhancement:
Movies like THE ENCHANTED CHAMBER, PAYMENT IN BLOOD, THE PSYCHOPATH etc. are deemed unfit for restoration. The film materials are either too damaged or in such appalling condition that a restoration process is out of question (at least for Celestial Pictures!) So the majority of titles of your list will never see any release for home entertainment or TV programs either!!!
The third reason is the “time frame”:
With a few exceptions Celestial has not released and will not release movies made before 1958 and monochrome films. Full stop!
For collectors it’s sad but the old saying “Life is not fair!” applies to the Shaw collection as well.

Can I ask which 12? Are you talking about the Cosmopolitan productions? These aren't technically Shaw Bros but were produced by Shaw under that new name.

I'm sure we'd all love to get our hands on those erstwhile MIA Shaw rares.
It's odd that The Killer should be permanently absent given it was one of the most widely released VHS titles.
The first reason is "difficult ownership" (which applies i.e. to co-productions!):
THE CHAMPION (I know this is a Taiwanese co-prod, but I couldn't find with whom?)
THE CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS (Hwa Kuo, Taiwan)
THE SHADOW GIRL (Filmed in Taiwan, but I didn't realise it was a co-prod)
THE GOURD FAIRY (Didn't know about this one...)
THE BANDITS (South Korea, probably Shin's Films)
IMPERIAL TOMB RAIDERS (Taiwanese co-prod)
THE BOXERS (Hwa Kuo, Taiwan)
THE BATTLE FOR THE REPUBLIC OF CHINA (Central, Taiwan)
Movies like THE ENCHANTED CHAMBER, PAYMENT IN BLOOD, THE PSYCHOPATH etc. are deemed unfit for restoration.
Thankfully a tape of Enchanted Chamber did come out 20 years back so we at least have a subtitled boot kicking around.

all these Answers don't explain why KILLERS ON WHEELS is not in that Set - it is remastered by Celestial and it's even available as VOD in France. there is no reason not to include this title.

0178 BIG STING
0287 COP SHOP BABES

0325 STOOGE, MY LOVE
0373 LOVE ON DELIVERY
0457 JUSTICE, MY FOOT

@ spannick: All five (OPERATION LIPSTICK, THE BRAIN STEALERS, THE KILLER, THE VILLAINS and KILLERS ON WHEELS) have been fully restored and are available as we speak ( I have personally seen teaser content at CP back in the days).
The reason they did not come out on DVD/VCD is as hilarious as it is sad:
Alongside some other 80+ titles slated for release in 24 batches in 2008 those five titles were meant to be the very last HK batch of the DVD/VCD to be released by IVL Intercontinental Video Limited. It should have ended with a bang like it all started with a bang and 10 movies (Heroic Ones, Come Drink with Me etc.). Everything was prepared, the two 2008 release catalogues were already printed, the designs done and press kits were slated for press release.
But after former Celestial CEO Pfeiffer (one of the main reasons IVL did a deal with CP at all) quit his job to move on and after the first massive human resources blood loss (i.e. massive change of personnel) at CP, the newly Japanese held (Kadokawa had bought them in November 2007) company IVL did something like Wang Yu did with the Shaw Organisation some 30 years ago - They terminated the 7 year-contract with Celestial Pictures one year earlier than expected and did not want to fulfill their part as they restructured and cut expenses. Celestial started an half hearted search for a new distributor. Kam & Ronson was mentioned as were several other HK and Chinese companies.
Then, in reference to the 50 Year Anniversary of the Shaw Library, it was announced that the reminder of the catalogue would finally be distributed but by then the staff was cut several times and all the good and interested personnel left CP in a hurry. Nothing worked, key positions changed hands several times a month and the corporate vision of providing home entertainment by way of DVD VCD and BluRay was declared dead and buried. CP went on to seek greener business pastures in telecom and mobile services and stuff like the ZiiEagle.
But to end the explantion: In the midst of the personnel discharge and change of management, the last batch (gloriously advertised and prepared for media by CP's former PF-department) got lost in the papers and ads and despite them still being present in the first and every following catalougue of the company the new weirdos at Celestial simply forgot to include them in their deals. To be chosen to be special can backfire indeed...

All 668 titles represent the complete titles available for distribution in Singapore. The 5 titles you mentioned form parts of the library but are not approved for distribution here.
As it is a Celestial Shaw Library, and not simply a Shaw ...Brothers collection, the 12 titles you name have also been included as they are represented under Celestial Shaw.

@ SadShawFan, thanks for your insights about the screwed-up corporate politics at work here… As for me (and I guess many others) I heard what I was desperately hoping to hear: That the picture quality is good, that all the movies are subbed and that the weaker earlier titles issued by IVL are looking better than they did before (the latter I honestly didn’t expect from Celestial…) I would have made the purchase for less reasons, actually… I mean, the box contains a sizeable number of films that I’ve never seen, movies that were never available in any halfway acceptable condition before. That alone would have induced me to part with 600-plus bucks.
SSF, are there any reasons that make you hint at the possibility that the box might be distributed in France or Germany ? And Germany as a “Shaw hot spot”…? Hmm, must have missed out on something here all these years…:squigglemouth:

That's the implication. But given that there's no reason for those 5 films (out of 673) to have been singled out for banning it looks more like an oversight. I know Singapore has very tough censorship but if this were a censorship issue then there are loads more films that would be viable candidates for cutting and banning. Face To Face, Shark Busters (both Super Film)
Suicide (United)
The Peeping, My Schoolmate, the Barbarian, Cop Shop Babes (all Film Power)
and
Double Crossed
This one is listed as an actual Shaw Bros production, but was never released in Hong Kong. My guess is that it was one of the latter day films that were shelved as Shaw was winding down, or a one-shot released post 1985.
Directed by Hsu Hsia.
Listed cast: Bill Tung, Hung Leung-Yeung, Leung Siu-Lung, Hung Yeung, Jessica Chow, Greenstreet Kan.

I hope in the Future coming a Lot from this with subs.I seen in the List many Films from Masterpiece Director KUEI CHI HUNG. A Friend give me from the Youkou Website this 2 from him, what before not avaible on DVD :
Stranger from HK -is a gritty modern day Gangsterflick with a Lot of bloody Scenes on the End of the Film-YoukouQuality is not the Best -the Film is very funny and gritty
Curse of Evil- a another Horror Masterpiece from him-the youkou Version plays 64 min or so I think this is not complett-the Film is very good-a typical Kuei Chi Hung with great Camera Work and shocking Moments

Tested the ZiiEagle in Singapore. All movies have been reformatted to anamorphic 16:6 even the VCD-only releases. I almost purchased it except the sales exec could not confirm if it can go through the airport scanners without any damage. Watched scenes from Thunderclap & To Kill A Mastermind. Awesome!

@Winfried:
I've told you guys... (despite some still missing movies) the box is far better than the DVDs.
In regard to the Changi Airport issue: I went through screening and such and back home I had no system failures or else. No problems at all.

Thank you SadShawFan for confirming that the ZiiEagle can withstand the airport scanners.
One last question: Do you know when the special introductory price of SGD888 will end?
After that it will revert back to the usual price of SGD1070, right?
I am checking some flights to Singapore again.......

I tested many of the rare movies and I can confirm that all of them are English-subtitled.
But SadShawFan is the only one who is able to confirm that the movies in the ZiiEagle are not censored.
Sorry I did not manage to check out what sort of files are in the ZiiEagle.
But I was told that if I open the box, the warranty will be void. (as if I have one to begin with!)

Well I'd suggest you have a go at backing it up some how. After all, it's basically a hard drive, which contains moving parts, so from the moment you power it on it's only a matter of time before it fails at some point. It may take years to go wrong, but guaranteed, eventually it will. I've had two hard drives die on me in recent years.

A hard drive with moving parts? I better put it in my back pack then and not in my checked-in luggage which will be thrown around, right?

Yes mate, hard drives are quite fragile bits of equipment.

The question about English subs has been answered already, GOLDEN DRAGON YIN-YANG. But nobody answered one of the most interesting questions so far: is it possible to copy movies that are on this ZiiEagle ?

Can't you just order it from the shop? Or are they not shipping to the US and other regions?

You can buy from the shop if go directly to it in Singapore. They will only ship it within Singapore, they won't ship it abroad. Basically, it's for Singaporeans only. If read this thread from the start, it contains all the relevent info on this.

Looks like I will have to wait till the next offer as I can't get any cheap flights until March.

For you guys that bought it can you transfer what is already on the Ziieagle and onto your portable drives??? Just for safety precautions, I would transfer some of those movies to some kind of portable device immediately, since I live in the states, and no warranty that's what I would do...

If somehow it cannot be transferred to other drives, I guess the only other solution to back it up would be to record each movie through a DVD Recorder. 668 movies is a lot of movies to record individually!
You could just put the HDD in a dock or mount it in your tower...

Watched Night Of The Devil Bride starring Ai Ti, Chen Ping, Terry Liu & Helen Ko tonight.
For those who are wondering, there is no censorship.

In order to back it up, you'd need to connect it directly to your PC, by either installing it inside your PC, or via an external enclosure. There are lots of different programs available that allow you to clone the contents of an hard drive. I'm guessing one of those would work for this.

Thank you Tosh for starting this thread. The ZiiEagle made news in the Chinese press here
too though I don't know of anyone else who actually went down south to Singapore to get it.
Watched Thunderclap tonight and was amazed to see the unfunny narrator who I felt spoilt the movie.

Winfred: care to break down the timing of the ordering process? From the time you ordered to the time you received the box, how long was it. I'm entrusting a friend who will tour Singapore in the next month to order it and ship it oversea. It would be a great help to know. Also how did you order it, by phone in english or through the website?

It's easy. As I bought it in Singapore during the Xmas vacation, I just went into the store, slapped the (foreign) credit card on the counter and went off as a happy and mostly satisfied customer. Haven't regretted this purchase one moment so far...
So, is it just that the device is limited to 720p, or are the films encoded at that resolution?
It's really odd that an HD product would not be 1080p these days; is this to prevent against possible cannibalisation of future Blu-ray discs?

Please, can anyone from the Guys, where have the HD Box looking to the Lenght of this Film: CURSE OF EVIL.
I have seen this last Night in the Version from youkou and this play 60 mins , or so.
I think this is a little short for a Kuei Chi Hung Film and I think the Film is in the HD Box longer.
Film is a good Horror Flick.
