Does anyone have a feel on the new "Death Race" film coming out in August?

It supposedly is a reconceptualization of the the cult movie "Death Race 2000", which by nature was campy and fun. My general feel is cult films and classics should be left alone and kept away from "remake land" but there have been a few exceptions (darned, few). Any good news on this one, or should I wait for video.
