While I'm still focusing on my 2005 calender of DVD projects, I'm thinking of doing one film next year that is NOT an Asian martial arts film... what I'm thinking about doing is making an English/Italian hybrid edition of Zombi 2. When I first saw the Blue Underground DVD last year, I watched the film switching back and forth between English and Italian, and noticed just how diverse the language was on the set. Here's the "who's who" of "who spoke what":
English speakers:
Ian McCulloch, Tisa Farrow, Richard Johnson, Olga Karlatos, and Stefania D'Amario (guess she's bi-lingual).
Italian speakers:
Al Cliver, Auretta Gay, Dakkar, and Lucio Fulci.
So similar to what I did with The Big Boss, the languages would be properly synched to each actor to make the film closest to how it was on the set. Only problem is there are no proper subtitles. The subtitles on the two current DVDs are "dubtitles"... but this is just an idea for right now, nothing solid!
