This has been getting kicked around for about 5 years or so. Looks like NBC has decided to go for it.

I grew up on the 70's series. Had a big crush on Lynda Carter. Not many women could pull that look off. Sure, the show was campy but fun to watch.
Would I want to be the person responsible for casting the new one? Yes and no.

I hope they'll cast a woman or at least a mature strong girl, instead of the usual skinny teen-star...

The movie has been dead for awhile now. The television version was killed a couple of weeks ago, but like ShaOW!linDude has informed us, NBC has decided to give it a go.
Now the bad news, I read that the reimagined Wonder Woman will be a vigilante crime fighter in LA, who's an corporate executive and modern woman balancing her extraordinary life.
I smell cancellation already.
I desperately want to see a movie version 1st. I read that Joss Whedon's take was going to be great, when he was attached to write and direct it.

Really? I had not heard any of that.
Do you happen to remember where you came across that? I can't find anything on it.

What part of David E Kelley didn't already suggest it would suck? Two words: Ally McBeal.
I have also seen him credited more than once as the show's "creator," and that bodes poorly to me because when you take a character with a 50+ year history it is beyond ballsy to claim you created it unless you are changing things greatly.
Speaking of Wonder Woman, anyone ever read about the cat that did create her for DC Comics? He lead an interesting life... I'll leave you to the Internet for the rest of that story!

Well, they've found her: Adrianne Palicki.

Yeah, you know what is less exciting than the prospect of David E Kelly producing this series? Casting people associated with Smallville.

Lynda Carter, TV's Wonder Woman of the 70's, gave her input on the reboot

That costume is cheesy and horrible.
Here's an image from a WW fansite. This is just someone's imagination of what her costume
should be if a movie were to be made...

Now that's the Wonder woman i know and love, that fanpic to me say's i'm Wonder woman and i'm going to kick your ass Legion of Doom.
I have no faith in the series now it's going to Cancelation land along side Heroes, the Cape, Knightrider and there other crap that NBC made they suck at superhero shows.

The costume in the released photo is kind of a cross between the classic and the new costume (http://dcu.blog.dccomics.com/2010/06/29/unveiling-wonder-woman’s-new-costume-direction/).
I'm not really worried about it; I believe to the very core of my being there is no way this will not suck. This is a Wonder Woman not from someone cool like Joss Whedon but from the dude that gave the world Ally McBeal. It is going to be some weird cross between The Practice and that f'ed up "Who's Afraid of Diana Prince?" proposed pilot from the '60s.

The more I think about it, the more I think that fan pic was originally a fake release from the unmade Wonder Woman movie....

If you google Wonder Woman Movie, you''' find plenty of photoshop jobs by people who have specific actresses in mind....

That should read "...find plenty of bad photoshop jobs....."
Though I admit, I've seen some really good ones, enough to make me wonder (sorry, pun not intended) if something was really in the works or not.
I'm reserving judgment until I see a few installments of the show. Right now I'm psyched. But if it doesn't translate properly (read: sucks) then I'm out.

Those photo shop ones are ok,but I dont like the roman skirt they have her with.
The outfit for the actual show isnt too bad,the lighting makes it look worse then it should look, but saying that Id rather see a more realistic looking outfit then one that looks like it was ordered over ebay.
still..id give the pilot a watch.

Well, for those who are feeling icky about the reboot, you can breathe a sign of relief. NBC has decided NOT to air the pilot as it didn't exactly test well.

I saw that elsewhere. On reading it a Cheap Trick song immediately popped into my head.
"Ain't that a shame......."
