italy ahs producd a bunch of both of these types of movies what are everybodies favs?
mine
CANNIBAL:
ZOMBIE HOLOCAUST- great cannibal action without all the animal cruelty.
CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST- totally out of hand
ZOMBIE:
ZOMBIE- the 1st and still one of the best, the eyeball scene still makes me wince and 2 people in front of me at the theater puked after the scene.
NIGHTMARE CITY- just plain fun movie

Good picks! I'll go with...
Cannibal : Cannibal Ferox, aka Make Them Die Slowly, just because it goes out of its way to be extremely nasty, and if you're watching these things, it might as well be as extreme as possible. Jungle Holocaust is pretty well-made, too.
Zombie : I'd go with Fulci's Zombie on this one, although I'll throw in The Blind Dead series (those Templars are creepy looking), Burial Ground (aka The Nights of Terror) for sheer nonstop zombie action (the whole freaking movie is one long attack, basically), and Hell of the Living Dead (even though I realize it's a pretty bad movie, I just have sentimental fondness for it... and it does keep moving!)

MAKE THEM DIE SLOWLY was my first exposure to this type of film and it got me into a lot of trouble as a young kid when I rented this at the video store. CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST came next and proceeded to get me into further trouble when I secretely ordered a bootleg copy of this. ZOMBIE was my first Italian zombie film and saw it in 84 the same night I saw NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET and (ZOMBIE)scared the pants off me. Either before or after ZOMBIE I was also terrified by TOMBS OF THE BLIND DEAD which I saw on ELVIRAS MOVIE MACABRE. In my collection I have CANNIBAL FEROX(Make Them Die Slowly), ZOMBIE, ZOMBIE HOLOCAUST(saw this as a kid too under the title DR. BUTCHER MD and own the old Paragon video tape), HELL OF THE LIVING DEAD(also caught this as a kid on the same night I saw two other sleaze classics DEATHSTALKER and THE BEING), ZOMBIE 3, 4 , CANNIBAL APOCALYPSE, MOUNTAIN OF THE CANNIBAL GOD, JUNGLE HOLOCAUST, EATEN ALIVE!, BURIAL GROUND-NIGHTS OF TERROR, BEYOND THE DARKNESS, ANTHROPOPHAGOUS, THE BEYOND, CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD, NIGHTMARE CITY, HOUSE BY THE CEMETARY, and the first two Blind Dead films all on DVD.

Is Gates of Hell the same movie as City of the Living Dead? I was wondering, cause i'll probably getCity...soon on DVD. And Burial Ground, is this a italian flick?? Lots of people told me it's good but i heard it is REALLY cheap and not well done...what you guys think?
Thanks!
