Thanks for the link! Bunch of good spaghetti reviews on there. But it's actually a DVD review I'm looking for, but I'm not really thinking that Hifi/Vci released a Criterion...

i have a couple of other of their spaghettis (vci) and they aren't too shabby.
descent widescreen prints, sometimes even a few trailers, but that is the extent of the extras.
no, not criterion, but not bad for about $10 or so.
i may get django the bastard dvd soon, if i do i'll halla.

I got this yesterday and saw half of it (I would've seen the whole thing but I got captivated by this woman playing pool on ESPN... Jeanette "The Black Widow" Lee is *GOD*!), and unless the second half really seriously tanks, then I don't know how this got a bad review 'cuz it's one of the coolest non-Leone Spaghetti Westerns I've seen. Tastes differ, I guess, but I had high hopes and wasn't disappointed at all. The DVD's widescreen and has a decent picture. The soundtrack's a little crackly, but nothing that'll hamper your viewing. And the movie's well worth getting... can't wait to get home from work and watch the second half.

Sounds worth the price. But how is the dubbing? Terrible, bad, mediorce, or OK? Django was totally spoiled due to the dubbing, the dubbing is terrible on that one!

BTW. How was the second half?

Definitely worth the price! The dubbing's not bad... it's got a few problems (some fake Southern accents... the people who dub these things just can't do a Southern accent, but I'm Southern so I may be overly picky ;) ) but it wasn't distracting at all, and not nearly as bad as Django's.

The second half was good, too - it held up pretty well throughout. Despite what the review on that website said, I thought it had plenty of atmosphere (some of which was actually kind of creepy) and had plenty of style. Nobody's going to mistake it for a Leone movie or anything, but not many things do compare to Leone... this one's pretty solid, definitely worth getting.

any movie that showcases 66 killings must be good.
