Anyone familiar with this? I haven't. It's a 70's/80's underground comicbook anthology series. David Fincher was interested at one point of doing a movie version. It is now going to be a French TV series.

What interested me when I found this on Twitch is that there's to be an ep (or eps) which will have Scott Adkins, Matt Mullins, Michael Jai White, and Darren Shahlavi in it with Larnell Stovall as choreographer.

If I never get to see an ep of this since it's to be a French TV series, I hope I at least get to see this one.

Here's a clip of the ep with Scott Adkins, Michael Jai White, and Darren Shahlavi. There's a good bit of slo-mo but it still looks pretty sweet to me.

It's French produced but I'm pretty sure it will get a wider release. I mean, the series appears to be at least part in english if not completely. As for the clip itself I'm curious because of Scott Adkins, but I think it looks pretty cheap... This doesn't seem to have much to do with the original Heavy Metal, at least not the animated movie from the 80s:

Yeah, it's an overdose of slo-mo with that "300 meets Spartacus" feel to it. Still, I'm down for some gladiatorial throwdowns with some MA mixed in.:xd:

I don't know that it's meant to. I believe each ep is meant to be "stand alone" and will convey different sci-fi stories. I'm not sure that they'll have a common thread or are meant to be linked or that any of the eps planned will be any of the stories from the HEAVY METAL animated movie(s).
