I have learnt my lesson and will stick to this brand for my DVD+ R & DVD-R.

Some precious movies copied on Imation are unplayable after less than a year!

Before you throw them away or anything, try ripping the movies to your hard drive using DVDFab Decrypter and burn them on to your Verbatims.
I had this happen to me and when I tried backing them up using other programs I was having a lot of difficulties but for some reason DVDFab Decrypter got around them no problem!

Tried burning a copy of the Imation DVD using Nero but there were errors and copying was aborted. Can I still use DVDfab Decrypter in this case?

That is exactly what happened to me but thankfully DVDFab Decrypter got around those errors!!

Make sure you don't download DVD Decrypter (if you can even find it!), it's DVDFab Decrypter that you need.

Hi fabhui

Downloaded DVD FabDecrypter and tried as per your suggestion. DVD burner encountered errors reading the DVD and gave me an option to retry, ignore or abort. First 2 options were not successful and I had to abort. Am I doing it right?

It sounds as though you are doing everything correct.

If you have more than one DVD drive on your computer try using the other drive. I know I had a problem with one disc that brought up errors when using the DVD-Rom drive but it went through ok when I used the DVD-RW drive.

Hi fabhui

Today I successfully ripped a DVD movie but then when I wanted to burn it to a DVD, the computer prompted me to insert a CD-R and not a DVD+R! What did I do wrong?

I've never had that problem before. What software are you using to do your burning??
