shopping in harlem, ny

Hello everyone,
My wife & I are coming to Harlem in May & want to know where to shop for Kung Fu movies and clothes. Also, what is the quickest route from Harlem to Chinatown?

I think you can catch the A train on Canal St. I know the 1 stops there. The 1 is SLOW but you can change to the 2 or 3 when possible and its pretty fast.
