AVI., DIVX....HOW TO CONVERT TO DVD FILE???

I HAVE SOME MOVIES THAT ARE IN AVI. AND DIVX FORMAT. WHAT IS THE BEST PROGRAM TO CONVERT THEM INTO DVD FILES SO I CAN PUT THEM ON TO DVD. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT!!

AVI2DVD is free and works most of the time. It also allows you to add subtitles, which otherwise can be a big hassle.

WinAVI video converter is a good one. ImToo MPEG Encoder, AVS, Alive, all these and many others will get it done. They all cost money though. The free trials are a waste, as they convert either only part of the file, or the whole thing but with a watermark in the middle. Not that we advocate this here, but you can get serial numbers for these on the internet and fool the program into thinking you paid for it.
