Folks is there a good website / discussion group for HK triad movies? I have come across a number of films by mistake that were quite enjoyable. Some of my favorites that come to mind are
Shanghai Grand - what an appropriate name
The color of loyalty - there is no better gang boss actor than Eric Tsang. We all talk about Wang Lung Wei being a character KF bad guy. Eric is the triad boss equivalent.
Infernal Affairs
SPL of course
Big Bullet
There are probably a couple of others as well that I like that I can't recall.
Anyway the problem I have is that I didn't come across these movies until years after they were released. I need a good reference site - or at least some recommendations
Thanks in advance

The Longest Nite with Lau Ching Wan.
On the Run-not Triads but I like a lot of the bad cop movies.

Well, of course there is Woo's late 80s, early 90s triad stuff.
Johnnie To/Milkyway has done quite bit of tiriad stuff. A lot of the heroic bloodshed movies were triad movies.
There was the "triad era" around the Young and Dangerous years. That series and the copycats.
Look up Wong Jing 90s produced movies and Andrew Lau's filmography.
Sometimes the cop movies are also triad movies on a parallel level.

Century of the Dragon is a pretty cool flick, with a great performance by Patrick Tam.
I'd also recommend the forst couple of Young and Dangerous movies, and it's prequel starring Nic Tse Ting Fung.

Don't forget the recent work of Wong Jing and his co-directors
Colour of The Truth
Colour of The Loyalty

Also there are tons of ones that were made in the 90s some great some not so great. Simon Yam did a TON. Casino and Tragic Tiger Fantasty of Wan Chai are just two off the top of my head. Check his filmography out too.
Also as said Johnnie To especially his two Election films are great triad cinema. Let me know if you need any more. Its a favorite sub genre of mine. :)

I hated Tragic Fantasy. Not the worst movie ever but I didn't like anything about it. I would give it like a 4/10. That Andy Lau Jing Wong movie looked good(maybe the Conman?). It's a Triad movie but it was either the Mei EH or Universe disc that wouldn't play for me. Can't believe I may have missed out on the 1 good Jing Wong movie.

I recommend The Club, the first two Long Arm Of The Law films, One Nite In Mongkok and of course Ringo Lam's City On Fire, Prison On Fire (not really a triad film though it has a certain amount of gangs and such) and Full Contact.

Ringo Lam's School on Fire is great to, one of the more grim triad/crime films.
