I have a few Shaw Brothers films (Blood Brothers, Shaolin & WuTang, 5 Shaolin Masters, Chinatown Kid, Shaolin Prince) in .avi video format.

However, they are missing the subtitles & are in Chinese language. Is there anyway to get the subtitle files and add them when I change these to .vob format & burn 'em to DVD?

I'm a newbie to the hobby and would appreciate any help!!!

There's a pretty good freeware program called simply AVI2DVD. It's pretty user friendly. It requires a .srt or .txt subtitle file. A program called Subtitle Workshop allows you to make adjustments to subtitle files and also to save them in different formats (ie: .srt, .txt.) AVI2DVD will sometimes randomnly not work for certain video files. Vobsub, if I remember correctly, allows you to add subtitles to a given set of BUP and VOB files for burning. I have around 20 various programs I use for all my file converting/burning/subbing. There's a lot of guides on the internet if you run into trouble.

Shaolin & Wu Tang isn't a Shaw film, unless you're thinking of a direct traslation of the Chinese title for Two Champions Of Shaolin
