Have one computer with Firefox 1.0.7.0 No problems. I put the most recent FF(2.something)on a friends laptop. Didn't know that that version can't do Youtube. There is no exe online for the 1.0.7.0 version. Also many of the skins don't work on the newer FF.
Now, I have Vista on my system. FF is all F'ed up on Vista. It won't work. Word is Microsoft did it on purpose. I won't use IE. Having used FF, I never considered Opera in the past. I gave it a try. Good stuff. Basically its like FF. Good, clean, good skins and the big one...it works with Vista.
"Progression" can be a pain. Peolpe think that they're moving forward when they're actually f'n things up.

I have never heard of any FF2 problems like you mentioned, could be your friend's laptop is jacked, prob XP is hosed internally.

Yes MS broke FF on Vista, or they claim that FF violates some security features in Vista, and 90% of the software on the market also does!! :rolleyes

FF will have a fix out shortly, it is being worked on.

I am not upgrading to Vista and I recommend to most people to avoid it right now. I saw some performance stats on a reputable website yesterday that showed XP still runs circles around Vista!

Youtube does not work with FF2. It says that the latest macro needs to be dl'ed. When you do, it still doesn't work. I googled and found that it's a universal problem. Do you use FF2 and have YT working properly?

Well I am using FF2 v2.0.0.1 and I can run anything off of Youtube fine.

Karza, I am on ff2 using Windows ME (don't laugh) and don't have many problems with Youtube. At one point I had issues with gizmodo, but it seems to have worked itself out.

PS - thanks for the details on the phillips dvd player. It works well. I just watched gangmaster for the 10th time. I love that film

10 times? Damn. Sounds like me when I first got my hands on Rendezvous with Death on tape(not the dvd). I had watched it 3 times in 6 days and that was a badly done theater job.
I'll have to check his LT again as far as the FF2/YT thing goes. YT is a biiig deal with me. Very important.
Opera is cool. I like the whole wand thing.
I personally prefer FF 1.0.7.0 to FF2. I put FF2 on everyone's computer that I know though.
