Has anyone read any kung fu oriented comics lately? The last good thing I read in print was Infinite Kung Fu (http://www.infinitekungfu.com), but it comes out so infrequently.

In terms of webcomics I just came across Shi Long Pang (http://www.moderntales.com/comics/shilongpang.php), which is very cool, but not much action yet.

Anybody know some good titles?

I just picked up Samurai Detective by Image comics. Its pretty good.

The LWAC series from DarkHorse has been great.

The new Kabuki is excellent, very deep; interesting.

Shaolin Cowboy by burlyman entertainment is very wierd, but the art is awesome, and the story does get better and sucks you in.

Some older classics and newer books that are well worth a read:
----------Ninja Funnies by Eternity Comics
----------Ninja by Eternity Comics
----------The legend of Kamui by Eclipse International/Viz comics.
----------Samurai:Heaven and Earth. (has beautiful artwork) by DarkHorse
----------The Forbidden Kingdom by Eastern Comics (one of my all time faves... hard to find but well worth the search. Classic Korean revenge drama)

Thanks for the suggestions.

I'm very familiar with Lone Wolf and Cub and I love it. But I guess I was thinking more Chinese martial arts, rather than Japanese. There are TONS of samurai comics.

As for Shaolin Cowboy, I read the first few issues but I didn't quite get sucked in. I don't know, seemed like they were using "shaolin" as a marketing ploy rather than have it be anything relevant to the character, other than he knows how to fight.

There is a lenghty thread on this topic.

It currently resides on page 4, with a last post on 12/6/06.

It covers alot of chinese martial arts, Zhong kui, i recommend
that you read it.
