I have KaZaa Lite but haven't been on it in some time. I recall there would be 2-4 million users online back then. Now, its down to around 100,000. Did something happen lately that I'm not aware of?

I use to have it a few years ago but when I heard that companies where going to start cracking down and sueing people for illegally downloading the music I took it off my computer. I don't know if they followed through with the lawsuits or not but decided It's better to play it safe than sorry. This might be why the membership has dropped so dramaticly. :\

I think many people just switched over to better and faster ways of downloading their stuff, like bittorrent and newsgroups... !?

I know I did (bittorrent)

I wasn't so worried about the sueing threats as it was such a hard thing to prosecute, but I ended up with a MAC so only Limewire worked with Mac.

Teak - Torrents are your best friend now... uTorrent is the best client, isohunt and demonoid are the probably 2 of the better search engines for them.

Limewire - dead, or polluted by record companies.

KaZaa - it still works? polluted by record companies most likely.

Then what's the best place to download music?

There are a bunch of oldies that I used to get on Kazaa but since there are so few people on it where did everyone go to?

I recommend you to use Ares, very effective and lots of users sharing. otherwise stick to torrentclients and just search torrents through the net.
