I have 2 dvds that I burned. I am using Clonedvd2 and Anydvd. 1 came out perfectly as most do. The other won't play on the dvd players and shows as Audio and Video folders on the computer. Is there a way to make this into a playable dvd, or are there some movies that can't be converted?

1. Does it play on your computer?
2. Check to make sure that there are files in the video folder, it should be around 4.36GB.
3. Was it authored properly?
4. You said converted at the end, was it a movie you converted from 1 format to another (avi/rm to dvd/vob) or was it a straight dvd rip to hard drive?
5. Check to make sure its not a media issue.
6. Is your burner in DMA mode & not PIO mode? May not be an issue, but you ripping & burning runs smoother & faster in DMA.
Give a little feedback on the above so some of the board members can guide you in the right direction.
shows as Audio and Video folders on the computer
That's how they are suppose to be, the audio folder should be empty & the dvd files including audio are stored in the video folder.
are there some movies that can't be converted
I have not seen or heard of a movie that cannot be rip & burn.

I have not seen or heard of a movie that cannot be rip & burn.
I have heard of many issues trying to rip the newer DVDs coming out but that depends on the tools that you are using.
They are loading newer DVDs with alot of errors that a player won't pick up but a PC DVDr or DVD rippers will. I still haven't heard of one that can't be ripped.
Even HD-DVD is now cracked and are out on the torrents, Blu-ray is not far behind, they are just looking for a decoding key, they cracked ACSS.

1.No, does not play on the computer
2.All files are in the video folder
3.I use Clonedvd2 and Anydvd. I do not use Anydvd to rip to HD unless a disk is skippy or maybe scratched.
4.I did not change the format. I burned another disk after that one and it came out perfectly. I have never changed the settings.
5.I always use Verbatim. No problems ever.
The audio folder is empty and all of the files are in the video folder.

No, does not play on the computer
An error happened somewhere, either in ripping, authoring or finalizing. This happens to me sometimes, especially when I have other programs running in the background when I am ripping. If you have Roxio on your computer, Disable drag to disc & RxMon, these tend to interfer with Clonedvd & some other burning programs.
Was it a PAL disc that you had?

It was a Mei Ah disc. I did that, saw the result. Burned a different disc next, successfully. Tried the first disc again to the original result. Same thing happened once before with Where a Good Man Goes.
I don't have Roxio.

Try ripping & burning with DVD Shrink or DVD decrypter, they are both free and Excellent & a must have. Let us know what the results are.

I have Shrink though I have never used it. I always use DC2 and ADVD. I will try that and report back. Thanks.

Like I said before, I usually use clonedvd2 to copy and burn. Anydvd is used for regions and encryption. I just tried another movie/disc and the same thing happened again. I burned a different disc after that one to success.
So, I used anydvd to rip to the HD and clonedvd2 to burn. Now I hae 3 discs with audio and video files and no playable movie.
Before that, I installed my previously unused Dvdshrink. It showed the movie playing and with audio(from the non playing on computer or dvd player, dvd). I haven't the first clue as to what is to be done next. There is nothing to compress because everything is already on the disc. It just isn't a playable dvd. WTF. I don't get it. There have been only 3 discs to ever do this ever. 2 have been Mei Ah discs.
How the f do I get these files to be a playable dvd? Frustration.

I know the frustration, I just had a problem ripping Saw 3: Unrated Edition, DVDClone2, AnyDvd, or Shrink couldn't handle it.
You may having either 1 of 2 problems.
A defective disc or an updated encryption that Anydvd / DvdClone2 cannot handle. If you see the movie playing in Shrink, I may not be a defective disc.
Very likely that movie have an updated encryption, therefore your backup of that movie is "looping" / cripple - causing it to be unplayable. This happen with Lion Gates & Sony newer releases.
To solve that run FixVTS or VobBlanker or PgcEdit to blank out any suspicious cells, vts or pgcs. Or use the latest version of RipIt4Me.
I used Ripit4me & FixVTS to rip Saw 3: Unrated Edition - That movie had 99 VTS on the disc, alot of it being crap. So imagine someone who is not familiar with ripping trying to rip that disc.
Even if there is nothing to shrink / compress, you can still continue to do a back up with Dvd Shrink. And also DVD Decrypter can do both backup & burn.
