Back in the 90's a friend of mine had a vhs of kung fu styles fighting eachother with various weapons and whatnot. He had said it was called 36 chambers but i cannot find it anywhere and can longer contact him. It was just fighting there was no storyline to it. If anyone can help that would be great.

36th Chamber of Shaolin aka Shaolin Master Killer in the USA.

You can get the remastered Region 3 DVD from IVL/Celestial online at places like YesAsia etc.

You should probably start with checking out different reviews of 36th Chamber of Shaolin.. Because from your description I don't think it's that movie.

36th doesn't really have a lot of fighting, just a lot of training.. And no "kung fu styles fighting eachother". Maybe you should also check out reviews of Heroes of the east (aka Shaolin challenges ninja), same star and director as 36th, and that movie is all about various fighting styles and weapons etc..

If you can remember some specific scenes from the movie, please share them here - that will make it easier to confirm what movie it is..
