Hey

What do you guys consider a fair price to pay for a kung fu film on dvd?
How much for a vanilla disc?
How much for a disc that has audio comms and other extras?
Would the fact that the film is rare increase the amount you'd be willing to spend?

The market is currently $15 retail.

Alot of so-called rares are not clear enough to be on DVD unless a pro does them justice and even so $15 or less is the norm.

I think audio commentaries and the like are unecessary unless their a real coup. I think the film should come first. Look at the HKLs. I want the film uncut, OAR, with decent subs and original mono where necessary - HKL once released Hitman in mono when it's a digital stereo film. I'm no longer bothered about interviews with the tea lady

extras are nice if its like the wong tao interview/ commentary on the rarescope along comes a tiger disk.

but extras like on the hkl hapkido disk i could do without.

i want to hear from people that were on set or stared in the film and can give interesting points of view or facts. they make the disk alot nicer but bare bones releases are cool too
