I'm also interested in peoples opinions on KWAIDAN, and UGETSU, and any other good movies.

Tosh, I meant to say something about Kwaidan. It is directed by Kobayashi so that should be enough to want to see that one. The difference is this movie rather than his great b/w classics you have seen is this one is in color. It has four good ghost stories in with the good actors you know, but regardless of that it is just beautiful to watch. It is very artistic and fun to watch. He creates good moods in this one with the colors and effects. The Masters of Cinema version one is the one to get since it runs around three hours. The Criterion one is about 20 minutes short. I am probably going to watch it again as we get close to Halloween.

Thanks man, I'll have to look for the Masters one then, I watched Jigoku, it was alright, It dragged out a bit, and the end was kind of strange, but great acting.
After watching the extras it explains this was shot on a shoe-string budget, and was also one of the first Japanese movies to ever cover Hell, as most horror at the time were ghost stories, so in a way, this movie started Japanese horror on a new road.
