Question : svp.co.uk/products-solo.php?pid=121 (http://svp.co.uk/products-solo.php?pid=121)
Usually i trade out all my DVDS and make a transfer to Taiyo Yuden for myself because i know
that the lifespan of Taiyo Yuden DVDS far surpasing other media (DVD-R). It has been claimed
in fact that the lifespan of Taiyo Yuden discs are almost 100 years.

This would suggest to me that ''Taiyo Yuden'' brand media (dvd-r) surpases not only factory sealed
DVD or DVD MEDIA (discs) from other companies such as Crash Cinema for example but also
other distributers Warner Brothers or Fox, MGM included. Is not ''Taiyo Yuden'' superior grade in
terms of longevity and durability?

Would you reccomend that if someone requests a DVD from on of these companies that i
burn a copy of the Actual DVD or any other company and keep the Taiyo Yuden for myself...

I personally dont really care much if i have the Original or not. I mean it's cool but if it breaks
down. What use is it to me if it turns into trash.

Advice Please.

I think this is your answer? NO!!! Factory dvds are still the best period. They are actually pressed material and use a metal type base to store the content-movie ect!!! As any Blank dvd-r used dye to keep the movie on. With dye ANYTHING can happen. Heat, Cold ect can cause breakdown. Yudens are the best dye made dvds but nothing beats an original. Well except the cheap Stuff pan Media uses for their dvds. Most of that material is Bulk Crap made in Taiwan. even being " Factory made" its still garbage

taiyo yuden use a cycnine die on their discs which actually has a shelf life of about 30, however that doesn't mean these discs are low quality, they are great and have little read errors, HOWEVER!! don't forget to backup ur backups in 25 years, lol..

I am for it because i want to keep my DVDS , but would you guys really reccomend that for example
during a trade that i burn out my Redsundvd to Taiyo Yuden? (Keep the Taiyo Yuden send out the
Redsun DVD of course this is what i am suggesting)

All i want is the movie in the end i dont care that much if i have the original.. like i said i rather have

the movie in the end instead of a peice of plastic! Just tell the truth, i dont care about if you hate
Redsundvd or not i just need some advice.

btw Thanks strut74 for the information.:)
