One of the sellers who I get Asian movies from on ebay has all 4 movies (English Dubbed) of this series I just want to know if its worth picking up. I know it is supposed to be the Female Zatoichi type of movie.

WHAT?! English subs?! Now that's a find! I've only seen them English dubbed. I've seen them range from fair to good vhs quality.

Yes, blind Oichi is a female Zatoichi, if you will. She has this wide eyed, blank stare. She's skilled with a sword. And she makes money via gambling.

The series in entertaining. Not on a Zatoichi level, imo. But damn! Subtitles! That's hot! English dub is THE worst thing that can be done to Japanese movies. Do keep us informed.
