I hope this is the beginning of a whole bunch of Sonny Chiba titles to get released in Hong Kong. The DVD specs indicate its Japanese language with English subs. I've already got the North American version. This might be for anyone who still hasn't bought it yet.

You serious? I thought Tokyo Shock would have put it out uncut, especially considering some of the other Japanese titles they've been releasing. HKFlix lists Tokyo Shock's and IVLs DVDs with the same running times (approx 122min). What was cut?

Edit: I did a little digging and found a review site that mentions the cut, which I recall being a part of the discussion on this board a year or so ago, but I forgot:
10K Bullets Samurai Reincarnation Review (http://www.10kbullets.com/reviews/samruaireincarnation.htm)
Note: It has been brought to my attention that there is a missing scene on this DVD and it occurs during the scene when Jubei is in the sword maker’s cabin and an earthquake starts. The DVD briefly pauses before skipping to the next scene. The DVD is missing footage of Mushashi attacking the cabin and the DVD runs about 118 minutes when the DVD box states 122 minutes which means 4 minutes is missing.

While it's not really a Sonny Chiba movie, I read that Bullet Train is supposed to be released by IVL sometime. While Chiba really only has an extended cameo as the train conductor, the overall film was quite good... it felt like Speed meets Heat.

I have the disc and it does infact run at 122 minutes and includes the scene at the sword makers house.
I remember the very 1st post about this that scared everyone away from buying it myself included.
The person making this claim got no response from Media Blasters and didn't want to purchase the disc again so he just assumed it was cut.
Turns out he must have just got a faulty pressing of the disc.
I can confirm with pics if anyone would like.

I got mine about 6 months ago from Suncoast in the mall.
This was one of the few discs that wouldn't show up on the time counter on my dvd player so I didn't originally have a way to check other then sitting their with a stopwatch.
Got another player though that shows the time and I finally remembered to check it today after seeing this thread about a week or so ago.
