Hello, I'm a newbie to collecting kung fu movies and I have a few questions about where to order.
Where is the best place for people in the U.S. to order there movies? So far I've seen recommendations for dddhouse, cdwow, and yesasia. I'm looking for legit Shaw Bros. movies. Are there anymore sites that I'm missing or any that stand out as being the best? I assume shipping prices to the U.S. are reasonable?
Ok, one more kind of unusual question: I've never bought anything over the internet before by credit card or paypal or anything; I've always called over the phone when ordering stuff. I don't see a phone number where you can call on these websites, so is ordering online the only way to order? If so would it be possible to use a prepaid credit card?
Thanks for any help.
P.S. Sorry if any of these questions have been asked before.I tried searching but haven't had any luck. Although I have been reading a lot of the threads on the board.

I've used DDDHouse primarily and YesAsia, they're both legit. DDDHouse's shipping charges are listed on the Web site, but they start at a little under $4 for a single disc, and go up from there ($5.77 for 2, $7.69 for 3, etc). Quite reasonable.

Your credit card information can be compromised just as easily by a store clerk or waiter as it can be by hackers online, so I think it's time for you to take the plunge. (unless it's a debit card of course) But if you're that concerned your CC company probably issues "virtual", single-use credit card numbers -- or yes you might be able to use a prepaid card. Check with them first.
Others (and I've used all of these at least once) include:
buyoyo.com
sensasian.com
asiandiscs.com
dvdasian.com
play-asia.com (maybe a little iffy at the moment)
poker industries
hkflix
You might check out the Kung Fu Cinema Retailer Page (http://kungfucinema.com/links/retailers.html)
Alot of the one's I've listed are there too, plus others I've used but not mentioned or not used.
Since the OP mentioned they were looking for "legit" Shaws, note that HKFLIX sells bootlegs. (PanMedia, etc)

Jon, Buyoyo (which used to be DVD Shelf) is where I have bought most of my stuff, and they have always been great. Finding the titles you want may be a bit difficult as their search engine SUCKS, but with a little work you will find just about any title you are looking for, at great prices. I know a lot of people recommend DDD House, but they are a nightmare to open an account with if paying by credit card. They want you to send a copy of your credit card to them, and then (assuming they receive it) they will open an account for you. Too much hassle for my taste.
Buyoyo has lower prices than DDD House, but higher shipping. In the end, they come out almost exactly equivalent. Hope this helps.

Interesting, I didn't have to go through this -- maybe it depends on the kind of card you have. I've always found them to be quite hassle-free.

My fav place to order was yesasia but I cant use my debit with them anymore.
Now Im mainly using hkflix and 5 star laser.
Usually with the priority option I get my discs in 4 days from hkflix and 2 or 3 with 5 star.
Yesasia used to get my discs to me in 3 days as well.
Question for those of you who use buyoyo.com....
How long does it usually take to receive their items in the states with their air mail option and how are they with having titles "in stock" that are listed on their sites? Reason I ask is they have Kiss of Death listed and its a OOP title Ive been trying to get.
Thanks

It's listed as 'To Order (available within 3 to 6 days)' which is usually fine, except this is an out of print title. You can try ordering it, but you'd really be flipping a coin.
I'm trying (with ill success) to dig up THE SWORD AND THE LUTE myself.
