Hi Sandy/ZAANTRON,
Welcome aboard. If you like Samurai films, you should check around ebay. My personal favorite samurai film swordsman is Tomisaburo Wakayama, the guy who played Ogami Itto in the Lone Wolf & Cub series. I also enjoy the Zatoichi film series with Shintaro Katsu, who is the real life brother of Wakayama. Beyond that, there are great samurai films by guys like Tatsuya Nakadai, Ichikawa Raizo, and of course, Toshiro Mifune.
If you can get your hands on them, you should check out Hideo Gosha's films 'Three Outlaw Samurai' and 'Samurai Wolf', amongst many other flicks.
Also, if you haven't seen it, you should check out the Warner Brothers film 'The Yakuza' starring Robert Mitchum and Ken Takakura. Great sword fighting scene at the end of this modern day yakuza actioner.

Welcome. I don't usually post in this forum but that does not mean I do not like japanese films. Ive just not seen as many as I have kung-fu and chinese films. Glad to have someone from Nova Scotia. I did a geography report on NS when i was in 8th grade. Seems like a cool place?
