Got it, just have not watched it yet.
I asked about this not long ago and knowone replied so i guess i will have to go and watch it and be the first!

My thoughts, taken from the other Aragami thread:

Aragami is a good parable about a wounded samurai nursed back to health in order to fight a demon, (Aragami) disguised in human form, for his life. A tad talky at the beginning but nicely done in a tight 79 minutes. Kinda reminded me of the ending Kitamura used for Versus to bring things full circle. Good atmosphere and some nice blade work.

Ok i have just watched it.
Very good i must say. Different for a samurai movie. You dont see many characters in this film at all. Anyone who is a fan of Kitamuras other work such as Azumi or Versus will enjoy this. It's probably the least fav i have seen from Kitamura.
As said befor it is very short for Kitamura as his other films are normally over 2 hours in length.
It had some nice fighting but nothing really to impressive and to be honest nothing as good as seen in Azumi.
the one thing i did like about this movie is that it has quite a cool twist in it that i was not expecting. I wont spoil anything but it has something to do with a very famous samurai.
I dont want to reccomend buying it in case anyone is dissapointed! I would say if your a huge fan of his other work then go for it but if not just download/rent it or something.

From what i have seen Azumi is available with English Subtitles from here...

Aragami is not though. Maybe you could get it through Cannible King on ebay?

If you have seen neither i highly reccomend Azumi First.
Have you seen Versus or Alive? If so what did you think?

Just watched the copy I picked up on ebay (stiller66 has several listings). Great story and swordplay, and the set and lighting is elegantly done. It's 16:9, 5.1, and has excellent English subtitles (though the extras--interviews & trailers--have none). Worth getting.

The thing that bugs me is that the Aragami stabbed the Samurai & just accepted he was dead. Did he not earlier in the
movie tell him that the only way he could now be killed is to have his head cut off?? Small gripe for an outstanding movie. There were some great combat sequences, and the effects were top-notch.
