Hope this helps, HKMDB gives the Cantonese titles but the incorrect phonetics, so I did some translation of what I knew and used HanCov for most of the stuff.

I didn't use the HKMDB for romanizations (I'm not a member so I don't think they show up?) Mine aren't wrong just that they use a different system than yours which is presumably Yale?

Thus 'Che Mo Kui' is the same as 'Je Mou Guei'.

Yes it was Yale, sorry. Yale is pretty straight forward with romanizations. Like when in pinyin they use B instead of P in there system ("Ba" father) whats the name of your system?

Yale is good for pronounciations, but a bitch to spell with.

The one I use is Hong Kong Government Romanization(?) -- or soemthing like that. I can't remember the exact name.

It's the official way of romanizing in HK, like they use on maps, roads, street signs, buildings, etc. Good for names, which is obviously what I need it for. Like you would normally say Maggie Cheung not Maggie Jeung wouldn't you? ;)

I treat film titles the same as personalities' names.

For Mandarin I use wade-giles (minus the apostrophes) for old-school kung fu and Taiwanese films and pinyin for post-1985 and mainland films.
