By real, are you asking if he really did hurt those guys? Or if the moves he made would have really caused those kind of injuries? I'd say 'no' to the former and 'yes' to the latter.

If your asking could those dislocating techniques work in real life I'd say probably so by a skilled practicioner, if your asking if he really dislocated the joints of the people in the movie then of course not! They only pretend in the movies although accidents sometimes happen. ;)

I love it how Kurata comes in and just starts popping joints back into place like it happens everyday.

Previous posts are right, I don't think he dislocated any of their joints. Yes those techniques are real and a skilled practitioner could do that. Jet probably caused a few bruises and short term pain for those guys. I've been on the receiving end of "aggressive" practice of these movements, trust me it hurts.

Arm breaks at the elbow are easier (IMHO) than a dislocation attempt on the arm or shoulder though.
