What is the best version to buy then?? Any help would be really appreciated!!

I only know of two legit versions available. The Tokyo Shock version and there is also a HK IVL version (w/Eng subs)available as well. Both are right around $15. Not sure if the IVL version contains the missing footage or not. I remember hearing shortly after its release Media Blasters was gonna replace the discs. Said their print was fully intact and who ever authored their discs screwed it up. That was aseveral years ago though.:rolleyes

I pretty sure he's asking about the Chiba version. The other film is called "Samurai Ressurection", which is a 2003 remake of "Samurai Reincarnation" also released by Tokyo Shock.

The scene where Jubei (Chiba) visits Muramasa the sword maker to ask for a sword. While Jubei is talking with Muramasa the hut starts to shake and Jubei runs out to see whats up. There should be a confrotation between Jubei and Musashi that takes place after Jubei runs outside the hut. Instead as Jubei runs outside the scene skips/jumps to Muramasa forging the sword.

The Tokyo Shock disc does have dual language tracks, but dont go near the English dub. It is horrendous!! (I believe its a new dub track)
