Just thought I'd throw some titles out there and see what kind of reaction they get.
In the process of going through my DVD collection (an arduous task to say the least), I started with my HK "new wave" stuff.
Basically films from around 1983 or so until the early 90's.

God of Gamblers - C, I couldnt handle the uneven comedy/drama for me

Peking Opera Blues- its a long time ago since I watched but i remember it as not bad..
Project A- better than part 2 in my opinion
Police Story- Jackies best modern time flick
Long Arm of the Law- dark and sinister and very realistic...those type of things happened a lot in hK before 97
Savior of the Soul-not seen
We're Going To Eat You- crazy stuff..liked it
Eastern Condors- Samo and Yuen biao in top form
Righting Wrongs- yuen biaos best solo modern typ flick
On The Run- this ones dark and shows that yuen biao is capable for more..or was
A Better Tomorrow-classic...
Bury Me High-not seen
Yes Madam- this one i really liked,henry sanada stole the show
Mr. Vampire-lam ching ying rocks...
Mr. Vampire 3- same
Swordsman 2- it was one of my favorite jet li flicks 4 a long time
Kung Fu Cult Master-awful
Chicken and Duck Talk- saw this agesago was funny as hell..
Stage Door Johnny-not seen
God of Gamblers- saw this in china 1991 in tv..was cool
Paper Marriage- mice one but for some strange reason i dont like films that are set in canada..plus everyone spoke chinese....didnt like that either

Savior of the Soul-good stuff, very arty
We're Going To Eat You-never saw
Eastern Condors-good stuff, could do without some of the characters dumb attempts at comedy
Righting Wrongs-alright not the biggest fan
On The Run-never saw
A Better Tomorrow-not the biggest fan
Bury Me High-alright wouldn't go out of my way for it
Yes Madam-uber large, steaming pile of crap in winter snow. classic finale
Mr. Vampire-fun when i first saw it, but dated to me now
Mr. Vampire 3-never saw
Swordsman 2-absolutely, positvely love it
Kung Fu Cult Master-was disappointed when i saw it. don't know if that would change now
Chicken and Duck Talk-never saw
Stage Door Johnny-saw back in the day unsubbed trying to get my hands on again for another viewing
God of Gamblers-never saw
Paper Marriage-never saw
Where's Officer Tuba?-aside from the HJL bits at the end, I'll ride over this one in a Hummer

Police Story - Great action, mediocre overall
Long Arm of the Law - didn't like it, preffer LAOTL-3
Savior of the Soul - haven't seen
We're Going To Eat You -haven't seen
Eastern Condors - one of my faves, love it
Righting Wrongs - dissapointing movie.I got double-sided OOP DVD
On The Run - LOVE it! The last standout is overdone, though
A Better Tomorrow - Never liked it.Love the restaurant shootout, though
Bury Me High - mediocre
Yes Madam - sucks. Superb finale
Mr. Vampire - didn't like
Mr. Vampire 3 - never bothered to check it out
Swordsman 2 - haven't seen
Kung Fu Cult Master - haven't seen
Chicken and Duck Talk - haven't seen
Stage Door Johnny - haven't seen
God of Gamblers - Quite good
Paper Marriage - decent, but nothing special
Where's Officer Tuba? - love it, one of Sammo's best, IMO
