Wu-Jing.org : Tony Jaa might be in SPL2...

On Aug 29, Paco Wong arranged for Wu Jing, who has just wrapped up Let's Steal Together, to go to Hong Kong to meet the press and talk about future plans. Paco Wong declared that they'd be filming SPL 2 next year, sometime after the Lunar New Year. Wu Jing, Sammo Hung and Simon Yam has already signed on to this project. Paco Wong revealed that SPL 2 is a prequel to the original movie, mainly dealing with the relationships between Sammo Hung, Simon Yam and Wu Jing. And in order for it to be approved for release in China, they'd try to accommodate the film regulations of Mainland, reducing some gore. They'd also increase the proportion of fight scenes to keep it thrilling. It's possible that SPL 2 will pit Wu Jing against a number of foreign martial artists, one of whom might possibly be Tony Jaa.

huh the back story actually sounds interesting. yeah, funny they didn't say @#%$ about yen. Jaa in SPL2? the guy has a lot of projects going.... sounds like BS.

Jaa has stated in interviews that he is going to be tied up with ONG BAK 2 for a while so I doubt this will be happening.

Yeah i call BS. Why would Tony do a little two bit villian role when he has all these starring ones out. Plus recently on Aint It Cool News in an interview he was asked if he would ever play a villian and he said he might someday if the role was right which was implying not any time soon to me.

It's not a 2 bit role. Action actors have often done cameos and supporting roles alongside bigger projects.
