does anybody have ANY info about this film? the cast looks awesome, Yuen Cheung Yan directed it, and Yuen Clan did the action...so my intuitions are telling me that this film must be really good...right?

Unfortunately, it's crap. Great cast indeed but poor action (only the finale is watchable) and poor story (the scene in which the westerners see their children being killed is a real embarassment).
Still, fans of Kim Maree Penn (like myself) can find it interesting as it is one her biggest part.

I could be wrong, but didn't this get a remastered release from Meh Ai on DVD not too long ago?

Not that I know of. I had the rarekungfumovies version but found out it was cut. After that I was able to trade with another member on here for the uncut dvd copy put out by WideSight. As far as I know this is the only uncut version available on dvd but I think it's out of print now.
