is this one of the Triad movies that has gun battles and fight scenes and mostly drama? i understand this is one of Andy Lau's early films...and does Dick Wei beat the crap out of people in this?

yeah this is different, first one is more classic triad movie (ok one), the second is action triad period movie (good one).
