A french action flick involving both martial arts as well as parkour.
How do you people like it? I havent seen it yet and I am considering buying it. I've read a couple of favourable reviews, mainly praising the action.

I enjoyed it quite a bit. The only thing that keeps it from being a classic is there is no big fight at the end. They build up the villain's army but the two leads never fight them. Nevertheless, there are some cool fights and chases in the film.

I got this movie a couple months ago and really enjoyed it. Cyril Raefelli and the other guy who's really good at jumping and climbing buildings and objects were really good in it. I wished there was more fighting but what there is was really good. A great action movie with a pretty good pumping soundtrack, I hope to see more films from these guys!

I enjoyed B13 as well. Very entertaining action and good stunt work. Story was decent for an action flixk as well (I said "decent"). The chick who plays the sister is gorgeous as well :eek !!

Yeah she was pretty hot, and damn spunky too. I liked when she made that thug eat her panties, literally! :rollin

Damn... I went to the store yesterday to get it, and they didnt have it anymore. I asked the guy at the counter and he said it's still in the system, so someone has probably just hidden it somewhere to pick it up later...
Ah well, I'll pick it up next week orso. It's 3 dvds for 15 euro, so I wont be buying it at another store.

This movie sucks. The parkour stuff was alright, but the majority of the fights are boring and not to mention not edited well at all.
For a movie that features a simple plot simply to hang set pieces for, it sure has you wait a long time until the next action scene comes and when it does, it's over in about a minute or two.
Glad I downloaded this.

I was told that chick was a porn star.

Yeah there was. On the rooftop. Did you fall asleep? :p
I enjoyed this - which was nice because most HK movies disappointment these days so I had to turn to France and they delivered.
Classic? Nah. But damn good entertainment.
And yeah, the cute sister was a teenage porn star in France. :eek

The final fight on the rooftop wasn't big, and the earlier action scenes were better. That's the problem with it.
Decent movie, but if they actually would have used more parkour scenes, which is the what the film is really about, it would have been better.

Would you be referring to...
www.imdb.com/name/nm1482584/ (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1482584/)
If you check the first 4 films in her filmo they are all adult titles, rated X in France.
And aren't most French actresses porn stars? Or were? :p

I wouldn't waste my time. 8)

No, but it was personal and intense, and at that stage in the story that's more important. Do they diffuse the bomb? I found this dilema exciting. I'm glad they went with this rather than a more generic beat-the-bad-guys-one-by-one finish. But hey, you can't please everyone... :hat
Decent movie, but if they actually would have used more parkour scenes, which is the what the film is really about, it would have been better.
The film's not about parkour... unless I saw something different?? :\

Search Google under the name Ally MacTanya and I expect you'll find images and maybe clips?

Right on.
Then I can only assume that your expectations were real high on SPL from all the buzz and low (or lower compared to SPL) for this film.
I wouldn't waste my time.
Good choice, cause otherwise it would make as much sense as Ric Meyers telling a martial artist how to train right. ;)
Decent movie, but if they actually would have used more parkour scenes, which is the what the film is really about, it would have been better.
Yeah, I don't know what you mean. I saw the movie as two different guys with two different sets of skills coming together. Although between the two the parkor stuff came out better since everything else was edited amateurishly and the choreography was quite boring for the actual fights.

The film was advertised as the next French parkour film, after the Yamakasi films that had been made before. I get the feeling the script wasn't finished when they began to shoot, as the first half of the movie seems to be going in a different direction then the 2nd half. Like someone mentioned earlier, the bad guy's gang was built up to eventually have a big fight with the lead characters, but instead they fight a big troll in a fight that dosen't really offer anything except for the repetitive David vs Goliath scenario.

Thanks for that info guys on Dany Verissimo aka Ally MacTanya! Maybe I can find a place selling her early films, I'd like to see her in her on brand of "action" if you know what I mean. ;)

Had no real expectations of either. I just went in blind. SPL I didn't like, B13 I did. That's all there is to it.

I didn't know anything about the pre-production or advertising. I'm only going by what I saw and it's not a parkour film. But I did enjoy the parkour that was in it as well as the combat action.

I really enjoyed the film and hope there's a sequel or similar type movie with the same people made. Alot of the scenes really got my adrenalin going.
