If any were likely to get recommended or multiple viewings from me it would be Shaolin Temple and 5 Shaolin Masters... although the casting on those two is a little less DC/TL-centric than those that came before...

Also, I got a real soft spot for The Heroic Ones...

Hell, they're all good, but if we're talking absolute favourites... yeah, those 3... the first two especially.

OK, peringaten picked two great films but not sure if they qualify as "IT" flicks. Sorry p. If I'm wrong, I will give up one of my time-outs. 8)

Maybe we need a definitive list.

My favorite IT film is Boxer from Shantung with Blood Brothers a close second (which I'm not even sure is actually an IT film.)

OK, we need a list....

Aha... well, Chang Cheh + David Chiang + Ti Lung = Iron Triangle... so those 2 fit the criteria imo, even if their Shaolin Cycle moniker calls into question their validity towards such shapely title... Now if Boxer From Shantung featured Ti Lung in any capacity...
To the bench with you, sir. :p

Although I do prefer Boxer to most IT flicks...

Vengeance
Blood Brothers
Anonymous Heroes

...would be three of my favorites. But I have to say I go back to The Deadly Duo quite often, because it's very short (77min.) and crammed full of fight scenes! Whenever I'm short of time and need to see David Chiang take out about 150 villains, get shot with 45 arrows in slo-mo, and heroically die while still standing up, this one goes in the the DVD player :lol :

I thought 7 Man was ok. It didn't overly thrill me and I'd put it pretty low down on my lists, but it's decent and has a real nice cast. Some people go nuts for it (thinking Gfanikf mainly)... I guess that's the nature of these IT flicks, they're all pretty nice, so all seem to attract differing admirers and detractors... Hard to tell really... For example I wasn't really feeling New One Armed so much (don't get me wrong, still great, but not right up there on the scale for me), others love it and vice versa the way I like Heroic Ones, I've seen others not digging it so much... They kind of seem to polarise opinion, whilst all being more than worthwhile...

If you like war flicks and a good ensemble cast - lots of extras running about and a flag-waving strongly patriotic themed storyline concerning a handful of heroic young men against the masses, plus servicable choreo with a few nicely scoped battle scenes (LOTS of tanks), you'll probably like 7 Man. So far as CC war flicks go I liked it better than Anonymous Heroes.

thanks to all, what I love most about Chang Cheh flicks is watching the hero face death in the face and go down fighting

Aha... well, Chang Cheh + David Chiang + Ti Lung = Iron Triangle... Oh my. I appear to have gotten my Irons mixed up. I was thinking of the Iron Trilogy flix. :o

OK, best CC+DC+TL would be "The Generation Gap" (not!) Man, this has to be of the worst fluff pieces of that period. I liked some of the others (Friends, Young Ppl, etc) but GG was pretty beat. Picked up when Kong Do entered the film but wayyyy too many Agnes songs.
