Awesome new forum, but will the martial arts TV series section return? Cause at the end of the month we will see the release of Wing Chun (subtitled), plus there is that lame looking Bruce Lee series coming out pretty soon I guess... ;)

Good job spotting that Yi Long. We definitely need the TV series forum.

We could bring back the TV section. While martial arts on U.S. television is scarce, it's still popular in Asia and many of the series are subtitled in English now. Tai Seng has imported quite a few.

This forum should exist because
1) Tai seng is definitely starting to release many series WITH English subtitles...
2) There are definitely Mandarin and Cantonese speaking people on this forum that watch the television series.
3) It's a vital part of kung fu cinema!

Exactly. Whether its Chow Yun Fat doing kung fu and playing Beggar So or Bruce Liang kicking the crap out of the Japanese, this is one of my favorite forums to read because there are so many TV shows and so many of them are great.

I was very surprised to enjoy the adaption of The book and the sword. I'm a huge fan of novel and was nervous about watching it. While not faithful by any means it was pretty well done. entertaining anyways...

I gotta watch the second part of Book and Sword. But how was it in comparison to Kung Fu Beggar? It looks epic! I plan on getting the Tai Seng release from Yesasia.
But I gotta say, how much can they mooch off the success of Kung Fu Hustle? They got Kung Fu Mahjong 1, 2, and 3 as well.

Speaking of Book and Sword, was anyone else pissed that Gai Chun Wa wasn't in Tai Seng's part 1 DVD? He's on the cover crossing swords with Zhao, and I was really excited for that fight. Maybe it's in the part 2 DVD?

Yea, its mostly cgi fights. There are a few cool fights during the end. Otherwise there's not much fighting, rather comedy that can be funny at times, or really bad if its not the type for you.

Book and Sword with Zhao Wen Zhuo is great, with some good fights. I don't think Ji Chun Hua was in this series.
And right now, there's another remake being made, this time starring Qiao Zhen Yu (Seven Swordsmen, Flying Dragon, Leaping Tiger) and Nikki Chow, and Adam Cheng.
I got bored with Kungfu Beggar halfway moons ago and have yet to finish it. The jokes are lame and the series drags too much, which is sometimes the case when they try to expand a 1.5 hr movie in 30 episodes * 40 minutes TV series, stuffing unnecessary details.
