I taped almost every episode of this 2003 WB series. I wished it didn't cancel after half a season. Russell Wong was great as Tom Chang, kung fu teacher and bounty hunter. Even the students' storylines were not too bad. Well, hopefully they will release the whole series on DVD and I can just pick it up then.
FYI: Nice Andy Cheng cameo in drag in the series opener.:p

I can't remember much about the show Black Sash but do remember Russell Wong being great in the show Vanishing Son, I wonder if those tv movies and the subsequent series of that show are available on DVD?

I loved the premise of that show--the guy has a school and teaches bagua zhang, of all things! I watched the show while it was on tv, and enjoyed it. It was very far-fetched though, with these kids studying bagua zhang (definitely one of the most complex Chinese martial arts) briefly and going out and kicking ass with the art.

You can find both TV shows on Ioffer.com - Black Sash is missing the last episode though, sadly.
Neither show was shown here in UK but Vanishing Son was released on VHS to rent. Heard many a good thing about it.

I liked Black Sash, it was a good show about the long journey of martial arts, rather than the "chicks kicking ass" trend we've had for the past ten years. Like Vanishing Son, I knew it couldn't last very long.
