I have to say Lo Lieh as Bei Mei is the quintessential White Haired Hermit Villain to me, he was the first one I ever saw in that role in Executioners From Shaolin(shown under the title Executioners of Death) way back in the early 80's on Black Belt Theatre. He was also great playing the similar White Haired Villain in Clan of the White Lotus.

For me, it's the Legmaster himself, Hwang Jang-Lee, in Secret Rivals I & II, The Invincible Armour, Snuff Bottle Connection, and The 36 Deadly Styles.

Chang Yi is easily the best fox IMO, Eagles Claw was the first "proper" old skool film I ever saw and he is one of the reasons why I have spent so much damn money on collecting these films, you can't beat his look in Eagles Claw with the dragon suit and the pointy boots, great stuff

Right up there as one of the greatest kung fu actors of all time. His white haired master in Clan of the White Lotus is incredible. He owns the screen.

Initially I thought Lo Leih. But when I thought about it, it was just based on his presence and acting ability. My favorite is WJL. No one had the complete package of terror that he possessed. When he took out an entire group of people or gave two super skilled co-stars hell, you BELIEVED it!

I voted Ku Feng as well. Then I'd have to make honorable mention in regards to Chang Yi in Eagles Claw and beyond. Those two actors were in way more classic kung fu films than the others mentioned. Sheer volume we're talking here. Of course Lo Lieh is awesome as well and a hands down favorite of mine, but I never thought he looked right with the white haired wig, and the sticky-on white eyebrows.

As for the others... in all respect, the films, storylines, acting/presence, they're not even in the same calibre as the three above mentioned. Yet only in regards to Hwang Jang Lee, I've always felt he was such a wasted talent, the man did have presence and he was a kick ass martial artist.

One more extremely underrated master of the genre was Tommy Lee, a mutha f*ckin villian that's mad right there!
