Some bits of it sound like various things said by various people in Last Hurrah, but if it's supposed to be a speech or a dialogue... Either I have a very bad memory or the translation I am familiar with differs rather dramatically from this one.

In any case, Last Hurrah is a film well worth checking out, so the best thing would be to see and hear for yourself...;-)

Without actually watching the movie at this moment.I don't know for sure!! But this part of your post reminds me of a part in Kid with Golden Arm. Philip Kwok rumbling on about friends with his wine. Check out both!! Hell both are worth watching!!
Both movie's have drunken men talking shit and rambling on...:D

I recently watched Kid with the Golden Arm and I don't remember such a long speech from Kuo Chui.

Speaking of drunken rambling, I've always enjoyed this speech:

"We have grown in the troubled world
When we join in the troubled world, we grow older and older
People love to seize power
But I prefer drinking"

Translation is a bit dodgy, but anyone recognise it? :)

I was just trying to piece together the quotes used on the new Wu-Tang Clan album, 8 Diagrams, so I'm not really sure if it is indeed a speech or not, however it sounds that way on the disc. I know them all except for the one I am asking about in this thread.

New suggestion; Dance of the Drunk Mantis, when Hwang Jang Lee and Yuen Siu Tien drink together and battle it out over (and under) the table. Try that one!

Nope, it was NOT from DOTDM. Although, that scene had some great stuff. WHAT a great fight! It was like 10-12 minutes long!

I am drawing a blank, I know it's very familiar, seems like maybe something Jimmy Wang Yu may of said!! While he was drunk!! Don't know for sure but I'll look into it. Hell now you have me wondering who it is...
