Heads up that Richard Ng is in a BBC3 comedy series called Phoo Action. It is a totally bizarre programme that also features Carl Weathers! I can't work out what the hell it is about, but good to see Richard on the screen again.

i was channel surfing and came across this the other night, and there was Carl Weathers in a bath towel! And while I was wondering what the Creed was doing slumming it in a very strange BBC3 program and whether I should stick around and watch some more or skip to the next channel, up pops Richard Ng not looking a day older than in the lucky stars films! Playing a Shaolin Abbot no less and overseeing a "student" doing some of the worst screen fighting I have ever seen, admittedly it was a comedy but thats no excuse IMO, by that point I had decided I didn't want to watch anymore. :D

Richard Ng has popped up in a few things over here (including a TV ad with boxer Lennox Lewis!) since he moved to London a few years ago.

I like Phoo Action, but the fights certainly suffer from "shoot the actors head and shoulders all the time" syndrome! :)

Now the show has been green-lit for a full series it'll be nice if Mr Ng is in those, and not just the pilot!

Yeah, it was pretty bad, but it was good to see ol' Richard Ng get some nice comic moments, and I thought Eddie Shin was great as Terry Phoo.

If it's really been green-lit for a full series then I'm definitely going to watch in the hope that it improves. And besides, there's barely any MA action on TV anymore these days, so I'm grateful for whatever we get...

I'm very susprised that Phoo Action has been given a full series. The pilot was abysmal. The problems included - weak and bland central characters, terrible action, cheap sets, dull baddies, cliched script and no jokes. Apart from the fact there was 1 swear word and it was screened at night, I would of assumed it was a children's program.....a bad children's program.
